Registration Process

So you know exactly what to expect, here is an outline of what will happen if you choose to register with us.

ONE - Registration & Interview

We keep our registration meeting as simple as possible, so from your first contact with one of our specialist consultants you should receive a speedy and helpful response. We advise how we can help you find work, whether it be temporary or permanent, in a variety of settings within the education and childcare industry.

Recruiting for positions that deal with vulnarable groups such as children does mean we need to see some documentation:

  • Proof of qualifications
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of right to work
  • Proof ID

We take time to ensure that we understand what your work requirements are so that we can match you to your perfect position or temporary assignment. If you are interested in temporary work we also like to run through some of our important work policies such as Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Recruitment of Ex-Offenders. We also like to explain your Contract of Service and very importantly how you are paid.

We find that this can all be done quickly and efficiently if we arrange you an appointment to meet us in our offices in Portchester, this stage of the process takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

TWO - Safeguarding Checks

Once your registration interview is complete we will load your details onto our bespoke database. If you are looking for permanent work only, we will take up references for you and immediately start searching for opportunities and arranging you interviews that suit your requirments.

If you are looking for temporary work we will take up references and a DBS Enhanced Disclosure or complete a Status Check if you are registered with the DBS Update Service. This stage can take approximately 2 weeks (depending on how quickly the DBS Disclosure and references are returned).

Once we have satisfactorilly completed these pre-employment checks and you are cleared to work we are obliged to ensure that you are fit to teach and occasionally be solely responsible for groups of children and young people without posing any Health & Safety risk to yourself or the children and young people in your care. We do this by asking you to complete a short Medical Fitness Declaration prior to your first booking.

THREE - Work

Being fully registered on our database for temporary or permanent positions means that we can contact you at any time with offers of work. We work closely with Local Authority Schools, Academies, Early Years Centres, Nurseries and Pre-Scools in the Hampshire (including Portsmouth & Southampton) and West Sussex.

Their staffing needs vary throughout the year, and we have both permanent and fixed term vacancies coming in regularly from these types of settings so we can arrange numerous interviews for you. We are extremely busy with both long term and short term temporary work, so no matter what your availability is, we should be able to offer you the kind or work you want and need.

You will have access to your own individual secure webpage which will contain details of all temporary assignments you accept from us, all pay records, supply guides for each school you are booked at, and there is also an online diary system allowing you to mark your availability for work (to stop us calling you at 7.15am for emergency bookings if you want a day off)!

We value feedback form our candidates and our schools and will share this where possible in order to ensure we give and excellent service to all of our customers. We have hundreds of satisfied customers and all of our specialist and experienced consultants have a passion for helping people find work and whom each have a large client base, so give us a call now and we can get the ball rolling for you. You will be pleased you did.
